Course Outline

Course objectives:

1. Assess the challenges of entrepreneurship
2. Determine the management structures of local businesses
3. Recommend strategies for maintaining a highly skilled work-force – including identifying and retaining qualified employees
4. Interpret the major themes that occur when exploring All Aspects of Industries
5. Explain how businesses affect the local, regional, and national economy
6. Categorize businesses into the correct Maryland Career Clusters
7. Demonstrate knowledge of All Aspects of the Industries in each Career Cluster
8. Examine the Skills for Success
9. Write and send a thank you to each presenter
10. Initiate and go on two site visits independently and compose a written analysis of All Aspects of the sites’ Industries
11. Create lesson plans that incorporate real-world skills and knowledge used by industries today.
